Our Baby

So as you can tell I haven't written in a while. We've had our hands full with our new puppy. She is the sweetest dog, but she also has her crazy moments. She is learning very quickly.

1. She is very smart and has already caught on to going potty outside...with the exception of a few accidents, which are usually our fault.
2. She started off crying at night, but after a couple of days she was making it through the night.
3. In the past week, she's mastered going up stairs and is working on going down them.
4. She is learning the meaning of no
5. She is already starting to catch onto the game of fetch.

She's obviously kept us very busy. We are learning quickly of how much she relies on us. I guess this is a great experience for when we plan to have kids. The biggest thing it has taught me is that I realized how selfish I am with my time. I now can't just go do whatever after school, but now I come home to make sure Nelly gets outside and gets playtime. We definitely are spending more time at home so that Nelly is not in the kennel all of the time. I think our biggest challenge about Nelly now is her loving to bite. She is so playful and gets excited, and usually ends up getting out of control. If ya'll have any ideas about how to redirect her attention besides yelling ouch and giving her another toy to play with.

Please enjoy the pictures....

MEET NELLY!

Nelly is the newest addition to the Reeves family. She is so sweet and the runt of the litterWe had the choice between her and her brother. It was a difficult decision, but in the long run we were both drawn to her and feel that she will be a sweet addition to our home. Her birthday is October 1, 2007 and I think we've decided that her full name will be Nelly Reinhold Reeves-to keep the Reinhold name going. We get to pick her up next weekend and we are both soooooooooo excited, but at the same time nervous about raising a pup. We are spending this week to buy Nelly some things and to read up on the best ways of training her. We can't wait for you to meet her!

So, as we all know, moving is difficult for me and also I tend to focus on all the negative things going on in my life. About Me

I am a fairly simple girl from Iowa. Throughout my 27 years I have figured out some things about myself...but I also continue to learn new things everyday.

2. I always look forward to change, but when it comes down to it...I really battle it.
3. I am very sensitive
4. I tend to be a rule follower...but definitely have streaks of (what I would call rebellious and others may not:)
4. I love people and friendship
5. I hate confrontation...always have and always will.
6. I love school more than I love work...I sometimes wish I could be a full time student for a living
7. I love sports..watching and playing
8. I love to be around people and it is hard for me to spend a significant amount of time alone.
9. I'm a worry wart
10. I tend to be messy....but have difficulty acknowledging it
11. I'm very competitive and sometimes I make the smallest things into competitions.
12. I care

Bittersweet day for the Reinholds

This has been a very exciting and hard time for my family. My dad, Tom, a.k.a TR sold his business and retired today. On the one hand it is great because he gets to retire after working at the Locksmith shop since he was in elementary school. He has definitely put in more than enough hard work for a lifetime. I will be forever thankful for his hard work providing for my family. On the other hand, it is very sad because the business has been in our family for over 100 years! It actually started in Holston (or something like that) Germany. For those of you Quad Citians, there will be a nice article in the QC Times from Bill Wandrum tomorrow
. Our family is very excited for my dad and proud of him... it is also hard to let go of a family legacy

. My dad's shop reminds me of cheers. Every time I go down there, my dad has "regular" customers. I swear my dad knows everyone downtown. Everytime someone walks in the door..they say "Hey Tom". I just want everyone to know how special my dad is and if you see him...please congratulate him:)
